Why doesn't Sammvaad export its chai?
We don't export because our brand was built on the idea that export-grade chai should stay within the country. If we sent our good chai abroad too, how would we be any different from other brands?
Why do big brands export their good chai?
Exporting gives bigger margins, and payment comes in dollars - that's why big brands make more profit by exporting their chai.
What difference will you see from your everyday chai?
You'll notice it from the first cup - the colour is deeper and more natural, it's stronger, and you'll need less tea leaves. The taste doesn't fade even after adding milk and sugar. Many customers have also told us it's gentler on the stomach, with less acidity and gas.
How is Sammvaad's export-grade chai different from market chai?
Market chai is usually old, medium-grade leaves that sit in warehouses for months. Sammvaad comes straight from the garden - fresh, export-grade, with no added colour or flavour. That's why it's stronger and has a deeper colour, even with less leaf.
Does the chai really come straight from the garden?
We're based in Siliguri. If we didn't need to send chai straight from the garden, why would we be here? We'd be in a metro city like other brands. The reason we're here is exactly this - direct garden-to-you chai, backed by modern logistics.
Should I trust this brand?

Does old chai really cause acidity?
Old, over-processed leaves release more tannins, which can trigger acidity and gas on an empty stomach. Fresh, export-grade leaves are smoother so you need less leaves, less acidity, and a chai that's gentler on the stomach.
